Burglar beats up centenarian in west Athens break-in
Police is searching for a burglar who beat up a 100-year-old woman in her house in west Athens early Friday morning.
The suspect is believed to have entered the house in Ilion through a window at 3.30 a.m. and tied up the housekeeper.
He then hit the elderly woman so that she would reveal where she kept her cash and other valuables. The suspect removed a wooden safe and fled the scene.
