US fugitive nabbed in northern Greece
A 56-year-old Greek man who was hailed down by police in his car for a road check in the Pella area of northern Greece on Tuesday was arrested after it emerged there was a pending international warrant against him issued in the US for a drug trafficking case in 1996-1998.
The man had been sentenced by an American court to 20 months in prison.
US authorities are requesting his extradition so he serves out the sentence.
