Biden speaks to Erdogan in first contact since inauguration

US President Joe Biden spoke on the phone with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday, in the first-ever contact between the two leaders since Biden’s inauguration in January.
The phone call comes a day before Biden is expected to recognize the mass killings of Armenians by the Ottoman Empire as genocide.
