Environmental agency aims to become ‘scientific hub’
Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria (c) and Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos (r) attend an event titled “Challenges and Opportunities Related to a New Climate Economy: Driving Innovation for Sustainable Development,” at the Academy of Athens yesterday. The event was organized by the Navarino Environmental Observatory (NEO), an agency set up 10 years ago by the academy, the University of Stockholm and the company TEMES, which owns the Costa Navarino resort in the Peloponnese. Organizers said they aimed to turn NEO into a “scientific hub.” [Yannis Kolesidis/EPA]
