Greek designers inspired by Minoan civilization

Clothes by designers inspired by the ancient Minoan civilization were on display on Saturday at a two-day cultural event at the Archaeological Museum of Iraklio on the island of Crete. The event explored the influence of the Minoans in global contemporary design. Titled “Contemporary Minoans,” the event honored London-based Greek designer Sophia Kokosalaki for her work and contribution in the promotion of Cretan and particularly Minoan culture on the international fashion scene.
