Parliamentary committee probing health spending convenes
Lawmakers attend the first session of a special parliamentary committee set up to investigate alleged corruption in the health sector in the 1997-2014 period, in Athens, on Wednesday. The committee’s agenda includes the alleged involvement of politicians in the auction of the Henry Dunant Hospital in 2014, claims that the the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KEELPNO) mismanaged state funds for its public health campaigns, as well as allegations pertaining to the pricing of medicines, among other cases.
