Bridge collapses after heavy rain near Konitsa
After a spell of unusually good weather for November, conditions took a turn for the worse on Wednesday. Bad weather caused damage to infrastructure in many parts of the country, with a 17-meter-long bridge in the village of Lagada, near Konitsa, in northern Greece, collapsing following torrential rain. Heavy rainfall in the broader region also damaged crops. In Attica, a sudden hailstorm caused upheaval on the roads. Meanwhile, earlier in the day it snowed at Vasilitsa, near Grevena, in northern Greece. [ANA-MPA]
