Summer storms lash parts of Greece
Workers remove a large tree that fell on the main square in the town of Trikala, central Greece, during a strong downpour Tuesday. Several parts of the country were battered by storms Tuesday, with a home in Perdika, a rural village in Ptolemaida, reportedly catching fire after being struck by lightning. No one was injured. The National Meteorological Service, meanwhile, has warned that unsettled weather with sudden, strong downpours are expected to persist throughout the week in most parts, spreading west to east.
