Kavala port aims to attract tourist vessels and pleasure boats
The port of Kavala in northern Greece has created 185 berths for smaller vessels, in an effort to attract tourists with yachts to the commercial harbor. The new floating jetties provide a wide range of modern conveniences for large and small vessels, including the supply of water and electricity through automatic vending machines. The jetties also provide firefighting facilities. This photograph of Aghios Pavlos Port – named after Saint Paul because Kavala is one of the cities that the apostle visited to spread Christ’s message – was made available by the Athens News Agency Wednesday.
