Temperatures set to rise before rain hits parts of Greece later in the week

Temperatures reached 35 degrees Celsius (95 Fahrenheit) in central Athens on Wednesday, and were expected to continue rising on Thursday, the Hellenic National Meteorological Service announced. Conditions are expected to change in parts late Friday and over the weekend, with showers in western, central and northern Greece.
