Witnesses present evidence in slow-moving GD trial
Witnesses in the trial of neofascist Golden Dawn show evidence to the presiding judges on Friday. The Council of Europe’s commissioner for human rights, Nils Muiznieks, expressed concern Friday about delays that have hampered the trial and resulted in many of the defendants being released from pretrial custody. The trial started in April last year but has been dogged by delays and protests over the venue. Muiznieks also expressed concern about the increase in hate crimes across Europe.
