Not the best start to the holidays

Employees of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE), the Athens metro and ISAP railway held a 24-hour strike Wednesday as part of ongoing action against privatization plans by the leftist-led coalition government. Recent reports say that most workers still receive their monthly salaries in full even when they walk off the job. Revenue losses for rail operator Trainose have come to about 1 million euros since the beginning of the year.
