Drakolimni sending out an SOS

The unique mountain landscape of Drakolimni (Dragon Lake) in Zagori, northern Greece is at risk of serious degradation due to an increase in the area’s cattle population. This has led to the problem of overgrazing, which is taking a toll on the alpine meadows that surround the lake.
