The Sea Diamond…

The ministers of Merchant Marine Manolis Kefaloyiannis and Tourism, Fani Palli-Petralia, yesterday attended the inauguration of the latest addition to Louis Hellenic Cruises’ fleet, the Sea Diamond, which will begin three- and four-day cruises from Piraeus in the Aegean on May 1. The 22,412-ton vessel (formerly Birka Princess) was built in Finland 20 years ago. It was purchased by Louis Hellenic Cruises for $35 million and underwent refurbishment work of $10 million. It can carry 1,250 passengers in 570 cabins.
