A steady Aframax market in the Med. and N. Sea, with rates holding for 80,000-ton cargoes at W/S4 30 and W/S 300 respectively. – Caribs appears quieter, with latest fixtures around W/S 405-415. – Tamoil for 80,000 tons of cargo, loading mid-November Libya, discharging Med., has fixed M/T «Paula Maerks» at W/S 430. – In the N. Sea, CSSA for 80,000 tons of cargo, loading November 6 N. Sea discharging UKC, has fixed M/T «Laura» at W/S 297.5, while in Caribs, Stusco has fixed Skaugen tonnage for 70,000 tons of cargo, loading November 8 East Coast Mexico, discharging US Gulf, at W/S 415. – Suezmax rates are holding in the Med., with Black Sea delays totaling to 12 days. – W. Africa rates are steady, but need additional inquiry to hold present levels. Tonnage is reasonably spread till the end of November. – Suezmax cargoes out of Arabian Gulf are fixed at W/S 310 and W/S 265 for East and West respectively. – Chevtex in the Med. and for 140,000 tons of cargo, loading November 21, discharging UKC, has fixed M/T «Seatriumph» at W/S 360. – In W. Africa, Cepsa for 130,000 tons of cargo, loading November 29, discharging Spain, has fixed M/T «Astro Polaris» at W/S 320. DRY CARGO Capesize rates remain strong in the Atlantic, with few vessels able to make November dates in Brazil. – Charterers will start splitting cargoes to Panamaxes due to adequate supply of tonnage. – In the East, China shipping Wylex has fixed M/V «Andros Warrior,» 171,931 dwt, built 1986, delivery November 8-14 China, trip via Australia, at USD 70,000 daily, while SK Shipping has fixed M/V «Mineral Noble,» 170,649 dwt, built 2004, delivery China beg.-November, trip via S. Africa, redelivery UKC, at USD 57,000 daily. – In the Atlantic, M/V «Cape Pampas,» 151,380 dwt, built 1990, delivery Rotterdam November 16-18, trip via Brazil, redelivery China, was fixed at USD 88,000 daily. – Panamax rates remain strong in the Atlantic while market in the East appears slower. – Enc has fixed M/V «Happy Clipper,» 73,413 dwt, built 2001, delivery France mid-November, trip via Egypt, redelivery Passero, at USD 43,000 daily, while Alcan has fixed M/V «Loch Lomond,» 75,845 dwt, built 2002, delivery Immingham November 3-5, trip via Brazil, redelivery Port Alfred, at USD 34,000 daily. – In the Far East, Kline has fixed M/V «Guinomar Baraka,» 74,107 dwt, built 2001, delivery November 1-10 Japan, trip via East Coast Australia, at USD 41,000 daily, while Sinotrans with delivery beg.-Nov. China, redelivery Far East, has fixed M/V «Fearless,» 73,427 dwt, built 1997, at USD 38,500 daily. – On smaller sizes, Pan Ocean has fixed M/V «Alexa,» 46,649 dwt, built 1995, delivery UK mid-November, trip via US Gulf, redelivery Far East, at USD 30,000 daily.
