ElvalHalcor gets 70-mln-euro loan from EIB
Copper and aluminum firm ElvalHalcor will receive 70 million euros from the European Investment Bank to support a planned technical and building infrastructure investment program worth 150 million euros, the EIB confirmed on Thursday.
The contract for the 70-million-euro EIB loan was signed in Athens yesterday by EIB Deputy Director General Nicholas Jennett and Lambros Varouchas, managing director of the aluminum rolling division of ElvalHalcor, and Dimitris Kyriakopoulos, executive vice president of ElvalHalcor.
“This new loan demonstrates the EIB’s strong partnership with Greek business and we look forward to accelerating essential investments with other industry leaders across the country,” said EIB Vice President Jonathan Taylor.
