Sales volume soars on Black Friday, with many more retailers benefiting
Enterprises saw turnover grow up to sixfold in some cases on Black Friday, November 24, compared with the previous Friday, as sales were more than twice the average daily rate, according to data collected by Qivos.
The widely expanded participation of retailers in the promotional event that has recently been introduced to Greece led to the distribution of sales across more enterprises, in a shift from last year, when the high turnover was concentrated among a few major retail chains.
Participating retailers saw turnover grow 253 percent from November 17, while in certain stores sales rose up to 534 percent.
