Korkidis sees opportunity in PM’s US visit
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’s visit to the United States could benefit Greece’s international image as an investment destination, Vassilis Korkidis, the president of the National Confederation of Greek Commerce (ESEE) has said.
“The prime minister’s trip to the US is a challenge for the Greek government and the Greek market is certainly anticipating some positive developments as a result of it,” Korkidis said.
“Greece is a pillar of stability in a volatile region and this needs to be communicated to the [US] President,” he added.
Tsipras, who met with IMF’s Managing Director Christine Lagarde as part of hus official trip to the US on Monday, is expected to meet Donald Trump later on Tuesday.
