French retailer is seeking Greek producers
French retail chain GiFi, the biggest in the category of discount home equipment in France with 444 stores, is on the lookout for Greek exporting companies and Greek producers to cooperate with, according to the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA).
The chamber has reported that a GiFi representative has contacted the Greek Embassy in Paris to express the company’s interest in cooperation with Greek enterprises. A representative of the retailer is also expected to visit Greece within 2017 for targeted business meetings.
The interest appears to be genuine, as any Greek enterprises wishing to explore the possibility of cooperation with GiFi are requested to send details concerning their turnover, staff numbers and export destinations to the Economic and Commercial Affairs Section of the Greek Embassy in Paris by October 18.
The categories in which the French retailer seeks cooperation include toys, festive decoration, furniture and garden furniture, camping equipment, home decor, lighting, electrical equipment, tools, food packaging, food, apparel, sports equipment, personal hygiene products, commodities for pets, detergents, car and bicycle accessories etc.
