Sani Resort releases sustainability data

Sani Resort, the luxurious holiday accommodation unit on Halkidiki’s Kassandra peninsula in central Macedonia, on Friday confirmed its shift toward sustainability as expressed through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program that saves energy and other resources and offers employees, guests and local residents an environment of top quality.

“This is a CSR project with an emphasis on sustainability in its broader sense, that is environmental actions as well as initiatives for the local community and our human capital,” said Eleni Andreadi, Sani Resort’s sustainability and CSR director.

The resort managed to achieve a recycling rate of 43 percent of its refuse last year in cooperation with private companies (up from 35 percent in 2014), and consumed power at a rate of 22.61 kilowatts per guest-night, below the 24 kW/GN golden sustainable standard.

Water consumption was reduced by 7 percent.
