Cartel practices probed in kidney care supplies
Greece’s Competition Commission announced it has identified cartel practices in the field of healthcare supplies aimed at pushing up the price of artificial kidney filters sold to the country’s state hospitals.
Sources say the cartel comprises about 15 companies, including all the major players in this segment of the market, while the union of those firms is alleged to have played a key role in the manipulation of tenders.
The plenary of the commission will discuss the issue on December 5.
