Three Greek firms deleted from Stoxx 600

Stoxx Ltd on Wednesday announced it was deleting Greek listed firms Alpha Bank, Eurobank and OTE telecom from its Stoxx Europe 600 Index, effective from the opening of European markets on Monday, September 19.

The international provider of innovative and tradable index concepts made the announcement in the wake of its annual Emerging and Developing Markets Country Classification review, whereby Greece will no longer be classified as a developed market.
