Piraeus Bank chairman Michalis Sallas said to be stepping down
Piraeus Bank chairman Michalis Sallas has reportedly announced his intention to step down to a group of close aides, Kathimerini understands.
According to Kathimerini sources, Sallas was expected to formally announce his decision at an emergency board meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
In 1991, Sallas led a group of Greek businessmen that took over Piraeus Bank from the public sector.
