Now Skourletis says energy sell-offs may not happen
Environment and Energy Minister Panos Skourletis caused a stir on Thursday as he claimed that the privatization projects included in the government’s official list involving state energy companies Hellenic Petroleum, Public Power Corporation and Public Gas Corporation may not be implemented after all.
Speaking to journalists on the fringes of a Hellenic Petroleum general meeting, Skourletis said "there is a list that is constantly renewed by [state privatization fund] TAIPED. What will eventually proceed is a matter of political will toward meeting the [revenues] target of 6.2 billion euros."
