ATHEX: ECB decisions boost Athens bourse
The European Central Bank’s policy decisions on Thursday, aimed at boosting growth in the eurozone, resulted in the Greek bourse recovering all of its Wednesday losses.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 564.12 points, adding 2.09 percent to Wednesday’s 552.59 points.
The large-cap FTSE 25 index expanded 3.13 percent to end at 154.63 points. Piraeus Bank outperformed, adding 12.50 percent, while Titan lost 1.06 percent.
In total 54 stocks grew, 38 dropped and 19 stayed put.
Turnover amounted to 80.2 million euros.
