Greece receives list of Swiss bank depositors
Greece's Finance Ministry says German authorities have given it details of Greeks with bank accounts in Switzerland for use in investigating possible tax evasion.
The information was passed on to Athens from tax authorities in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia through the Federal Central Tax Office in Germany.
It reportedly contains details on 10,588 depositors with total savings of 3.9 billion Swiss francs (3.6 billion euros) in 2006 and 2.9 billion Swiss francs (2.67 billion euros) in 2008.
A ministry statement said the document would be promptly forwarded to prosecutors.
