Commerce and tourism lifted market out of gloom last year
After five years of decline from 2009 to 2013, last year was the first when Greek enterprises finally saw a small increase in sales, according to the comparative analysis of corporate data by the Greece branch of the ICAP group.
A remarkable improvement was also noted in the operating results of local enterprises.
However, the total net results were still in the red, although those losses were considerably reduced compared to 2013.
The only profit-making sectors in the country were commerce and tourism.
