Rise in visitors, receipts at Greek museums and ancient sites in May
The number of people visiting Greek museums in May rose by 10.1 percent, with receipts rising by 15.8 percent, according to figures published on Monday by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
There was a 9.3 percent rise in the number of visitors to archaeological sites during the same month. Receipts rose by 6.5 percent.
Between January and May this year, visitors to museums have risen by 12.4 percent and receipts by 19 percent. During the same period, there was a 12.8 percent rise in visitors and 11.1 percent increase in receipts.
