Tax deadline pushed back

Alternate Finance Minister Tryfon Alexiadis has said that the deadline for the submission of tax declarations by individuals has been extended to August 28 from August 26 due to problems with the electronic submission platform, TaxisNet, which is designed to receive some 200,000 returns a day.

The minister noted that 85 percent of tax returns from individuals had been received while for legal entities the figure exceeded 90 percent.

Once the returns have been filed, the minister has received instructions to issue the bills for the ENFIA property tax by the end of the month. The 2015 ENFIA will be paid in five installments, the first at the end of October and the last in late February 2016.
