GNTO seeks to draw more Chinese tourists to Greece
The Greek National Tourism Organization is taking action to further bolster tourism traffic from China after arrivals from the world’s most populous country soared 63.4 percent in the first quarter of the year on an annual basis.
The GNTO office in China has organized a press trip to Crete for the Asian country’s television channel CCTV-6 for the filming of a documentary on the Minoan civilization. Documentaries on the Mycenaean and Cycladic civilizations will follow.
GNTO also organized a press trip by China Daily journalists to northern Greece for a series of reports the newspaper is preparing about the modern ‘Silk Road’ linking China with Europe.
