‘AMF’ project, final conference, Regional unit of Thesprotia
The Regional Unit of Thesprotia participates as partner at the “Adriatic Model Forest-AMF” project, which is co-funded by the Cross Border Cooperation Programme “IPA ADRIATIC 2007-2013”. Objective of the AMF project is creation of the new Model Forest in Croatian region of Dalmatia by utilizing proved “Five steps methodology” of the Mediterranean Model Forest Network. Through this learning process all AMF partners will benefit and will start up local model forest initiatives and facilitate processes in their countries, regions, territories.
Towards this direction the AMF Final conference will be held in Split, 4th and 5th March 2015. Guests of the meeting will be Nicolas Duval Mace of the International Model Forest Network Secretariat and Miguel Segur of the Mediterranean Model Forest Network Secretariat. AMF partners, with Regional Unit of Thesprotia amongst them, will present their final Implementation plans for the creation of the Model forest as a main output of the work package 3: Exchange of knowledge and good practices. The MMFN Memorandum of Understanding: official 2015 version will be presented by the MMFNs representative for a potential new membership of the AMF partners.
The AMF project final expected products and the Model Forest of Dalmatia process achievements will be presented and discussed while the IMFN/MMFN evaluation and recommendations will be shared among interested partnership. The second day of the meeting a brokerage event about the future EU opportunities of cooperation will take part. Riccardo Castellini and Miguel Segur of MMFNS-CESEFOR will present the Interreg Europe and MED Programs opportunities as well as the HORIZON2020 and EuropeAid Programs opportunities. Steering committee AMF will be held by the end of the session. Meeting will end with a goodbye dinner of the AMF partners that will bring with them an intention to continue cooperation in a new project.
