Inflation accelerates in July, driven by rising food and energy prices

Inflation in July increased to 2.7%, up from 2.3% in June and 2.5% in July of the previous year, data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) showed on Friday.

The rise is attributed to significant price increases in several food items, such as olive oil (+56.7%), as well as natural gas and a range of services.
