The PMI, the purchasing managers’ index, weakened for the fourth consecutive month in July.
The PMI, an indicator regarding the immediate prospects of the manufacturing sector, remained above 50 points, the threshold between expectations of expansion and contraction, but dropped to 53.2 from 54 in June, its lowest level since December 2023.
