GNTO supports sports combined with tourism

A series of activities combining international sports with tourism will take place in various regions of Greece in June, under the aegis of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).

This Saturday, the Glyfada Golf Club will host the “Women’s Golf Day” event for a second year. On Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16, the 3rd Paros Way including swimming, running and an aquathlon will take place in Parikia on the island of Paros.

On Sunday, June 16, the Kerkini Lake Run will take place in Central Macedonia. On the same day (June 16), the third annual international “Fly Athens” Street Pole Vault will take place in the forecourt of the Panathenaic Stadium.

A week later, on Sunday, June 23, the island of Gavdos will hold the 3rd Sports Celebration Day of the Municipality of Gavdos.

The final event of June will take place from June 28 to 30: The 20th Olympus Marathon, a 44-km race in beautiful scenery that follows the sacred procession of ancient pilgrims.
