Aegean Airlines spreading its wings abroad
Greek flag carrier Aegean Airlines is seeking its further expansion abroad through a number of targeted moves.
Greece’s leading airline is seeking to land state-subsidized services out of Skopje and Ochrid airports in North Macedonia to European destinations.
It is also reported to be considering the takeover of Croatia Airlines, the carrier that is about to be privatized in the eurozone’s newest member-state, to add to its Balkan penetration after obtaining 51% in Romania’s Animawings.
Aegean also recently renewed its strategic partnership with TUI France and will operate a hub at Lille Airport.
