Over 80% of businesses in Cyprus with 10 or more employees provided their staff with mobile devices with internet access and business emails in 2022, according to the results of the survey on information and communication technologies (ICT) usage and e-commerce in businesses published on Thursday by the Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat).
The survey looked at remote access for business employees, internet connection speeds, e-commerce and the percentages of specialized ICT staff in businesses.
In 2022, 85.9% of businesses with 10 or more employees offered portable devices that enabled a mobile connection to the internet via mobile telephone networks for business purposes. According to the survey, 81.4% of all businesses provided remote access to their email system, 68.7% provided remote access to the enterprise’s documents – including spreadsheets, presentations, or any other files – and 64.8% provided remote access to the enterprise’s business applications or software.
