Departure time for major railway projects

Significant works for the improvement and expansion of the national railway network of Greece are expected in the next five years, as in the next couple of months the government is set to draft its strategic timetable for railway investments in 2023-27.
The project schedule will clearly spell out the various projects, ranging from repairs to new railway works.
State railway works organization ERGOSE has also called tenders for the auctioning of six projects that are considered of strategic significance for Greece and have a combined budget of 4 billion euros as they concern the connection of ports with the rail network.
