Tech summit to focus on digital transition
The health crisis and the unprecedented needs it has created have led to the public administration, business and society making leaps and bounds in their use of digital technology. What are the opportunities and challenges of this digital revolution? This will be the main topic of the Technology Summit: Shaping the Digital Transition, at Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (40 Apollonos, Vouliagmeni) on Thursday, organized by Money Review.
Decade-long plans and projects became reality in just a few months, with new technology applications proving decisive for the effective functioning of states and organizations. We are gradually emerging from this crisis and are facing a “new normal.”
The conference will tackle burning questions such as: What are the next goals of digital governance in Greece and worldwide, and how could our country become a technological innovation hub? Which emerging technologies will further reshape health, education, work and all aspects of our lives, and what are the new ethical and security dilemmas that need to be addressed?
Participating in the conference will be political leaders, representatives of European and domestic institutions, CEOs of information and communication technology companies and of all sectors pioneering digital transformation, and representatives of investment funds and startups, aiming to highlight the perspectives, trends and risks, with a focus on sustainable economic growth and improvement in quality of life.
Conference speakers include Minister of State and Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister of State Responsible for the Coordination of Government Work Akis Skertsos, and Executive Vice President of the European Commission for A Europe Fit for the Digital Age and Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager.
The majority of speakers will attend the conference in person. Depending on ticket type, participants will attend the conference either in person or virtually through a platform. In-person tickets are limited.
