Logistics increasingly at the focus of major property investors
Investment fever is gripping logistics, as the sector was at the receiving end of some 200 million euros during 2021, being the second most popular category among real estate investors, according to data from Athens Economic Ltd – a JLL partner.
Market professionals estimate that by the end of 2024, about 250,000 square meters of logistics facilities will have been developed.
In fact it appears the new large warehouses (of at least 15,000 sq.m.) are in demand both by commercial chains and by companies providing logistics services to others (third-party logistics) and will secure tenants several months before starting operation.
