Tainiorama | Athens | May 16 – July 3
More than 140 films that have been screened and/or awarded at leading European film festivals such as Cannes and Berlin make up the seven-week annual Tainiorama film panorama, taking place at the Asty cinema in downtown Athens from May 16 to July 3. There will be three screenings every night – starting at 6 p.m. – with films organized according to theme. Iranian masterpieces, for example, is the theme on the opening night, followed by Venice Festival highlights, mini-tributes to Wim Wenders, David Lynch and other favorites, among others. Admission costs 5 euros per day. Both the festival and the cinema's websites are in Greek only.
