Manos Eleftheriou Tribute | Athens | August 29
The Greek Festival has put together a special concert to pay tribute to the celebrated composer Manos Eleftheriou following his death earlier this summer and also to raise funds in aid of the victims of July's deadly Attica wildfires. The event, which has been organized by singer George Dalaras, who will also take the stage, will include performances by vocalists Giorgos Andreou, Maria Farantouri, Manolis Lidakis, Lavrentis Machairitsas, Christos Nikolopoulos, Miltos Paschalidis, Iro Saia, Aspasia Stratigou, Tania Tsanaklidou and Fotini Velesiotou, accompanied by a large orchestra, in an evening of songs by Eleftheriou. Tickets cost 20, 25, 35, 45 and 60 euros, and can be purchased online at www.greekfestival.gr and www.viva.gr.
