Alexandrov Ensemble | Athens & Thessaloniki | December 4 & 5
The Alexandrov Ensemble, commonly known in the West as the Red Army Choir, will be performing at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Athens and the Nick Gallis Hall in Thessaloniki on December 4 and 5 respectively. The concerts by the official choir of the Russian armed forces are in honor of those who lost their lives last December when the airplane they were traveling in crashed in the Black Sea en route to Syria, including 60 members of the Alexandrov Ensemble who had been on their way to perform for Russian troops. The performances will also feature an orchestra and ballet dancers. Tickets cost 12-20 euros and can be bought at viva.gr. The performances start at 8.30 p.m.
