Popular Australian playwright Timothy Daly will be at the Aggelon Vima Theater in Athens on Wednesday, November 29, for a special event and book signing. The writer’s visit marks the publication in Greek of “The Man in the Attic,” awarded the Patrick White Playwrights’ Award for best new play and staged in 2013 at the Avignon Festival in France. The signing will start at 8 p.m. and will be followed by a performance of the fact-based play, in Greek, about a German couple who hide a Jewish watchmaker in their attic and omit to tell him when the war is over. Tickets cost 12 euros.
