Queen Double Bill | Athens | November 27
This Monday's installment of Gagarin 205's Gimme Shelter series of films on music is dedicated to Queen and its legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury. The first screening, at 7.30 p.m., is “Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender,” a 2012 documentary by Rhys Thomas for the BBC bringing together archival footage, interviews, clips from concerts and personal information. The second, at 10 p.m., is “Queen: A Night in Bohemia,” a 2016 film of the magical concert at London’s Hammersmith Odeon that was shot on Christmas Eve 1975 (and aired live on BBC-TV at the time), featuring the first live recording of “Bohemian Rhapsody” as well as interviews with the band. Admission costs 7 euros.
