The Squeeze #11 | Athens | November 23
Orange Grove, the international start-up incubator launched by the Dutch Embassy in Athens, will be holding “The Squeeze #11” on Thursday, November 23, offering eight start-up companies the opportunity to win cash prizes of 15,000 and 10,000 euros. The competition will be judged by Hella Hueck (commentator and researcher for WNL, NL), Angelos Angelou (founder and CEO of International Accelerator and founder and principal executive officer of Angelou Economics, US), Philipp Brinkmann (CEO of Tripsta, DE/GR) and Marco Veremis (Co-Founder & Executive Chairman of Upstream, GR). Among the start-ups competing are: the app PlayN, which allows users to find sports centers for their favorite sports; Kontolixima, an online platform to purchase products in excellent condition near their expiration date; and Gaia Robotics, a team of remote sensing and geospatial analytics analysts using unmanned aerial vehicles to bring precision agriculture to Greek fields. The event will take place on November 23 between 6 and 10 p.m. at the Orange Grove offices. Admission is free, and visitors are asked to register in advance at www.eventbrite.com.
