The MIET Bookshop in Thessaloniki is hosting an exhibition of works by Greek artist Nikos Nikolaou. The exhibition is divided into two parts. The first features works connected to theater, including costume and set designs while the second is dedicated to his murals. Nikos Nikolaou was born on the island of Hydra in 1909. He studied in Rome and Paris, returning to Greece just before the outbreak of World War II. In 1949 he formed the Armos group with artists including Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas, Yannis Tsarouchis, Yiannis Moralis, Nikos Engonopoulos and Panayiotis Tetsis. He died in 1986. Hours for the exhibition are 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m on Saturdays. Admission is free.
