Aeschylus | Epidaurus | June 30 & July 1
The Greek Festival turns the spotlight on ancient drama at Epidaurus with Aeschylus' “Seven Against Thebes” in a production by the National Theater of Northern Greece directed by Lithuania's Cezaris Grauzinis, following two successful performances at the ancient venue last year. This dramatic saga of the rivalry between two power-hungry siblings, stars Yannis Stankoglou (Eteocles), Clio-Danae Othoneou (Antigone) and Giorgos Papandreou (Polynices). The play is in Greek with English surtitles and begins at 9 p.m. To find out about tickets and how to get to Epidaurus, visit www.greekfestival.gr.
