The Greek Festival pays tribute to the Volksbuehne with a series of performances by directors with the historic German theater company. On Monday and Tuesday, June 19 and 20, the Pireos 260 venue will host outgoing Volksbuehne director Frank Castorf and his production of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's “The Gambler.” The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets cost 30-40 euros. At the end of Monday'sperformance, journalist and theater critic Peter Laudenbach will speak with the director about the latter’s long career and his 25 years at the helm of the Berlin theater.
