Acclaimed Swiss director Milo Rau returns to Athens with “Empire,” the final part of his “Europe Trilogy,” a three-year examination of the European humanist myth and reality. Actors from Greece, Syria and Romania, including Syrian and Kurdish actors who first came to Europe as refugees, recount stories of torture, flight, mourning, death and rebirth in this poignant exploration of the migration phenomenon. The play is hosted by the Greek Festival at Stage H of its Pireos 260 venue,on Wednesday and Thursday, June 15-16, starting at 8 p.m. The performance will be in Arabic, Greek, Kurdish and Romanian.
