Greek Songs | Athens | June 12

Greek pianist David Nachmias has put together a program of Greek songs from the first half of the 20th century by composers/singers such as Attik, Kostas Giannidis, Michalis Souyioul, Danai Stratigopoulou, Sofia Vembo and Nikos Gounaris that illustrate the influence of European musical trends on local artists. The concert also features singers Thanos Polydoras, Evelina Nikoliza, Lito Messini, Kaiti Pantzari and the Melos Brass ensemble. A part of the Greek Festival (www.greekfestival.gr), it will take place in the Garden of the Pireos 260 venue, starting at 9 p.m., and admission costs 13 euros.
